Overview
The '5th Gospel' of Jesus is literally 'being written today'.
Millions find the resolute, resounding, resonating, resurrecting life of Yeshua of Nazareth in just a few original ancient sites in Galilee and Judea. But, there are 20 additional remarkable locations that are the geographic 'concrete' to the Christian faith. These sites beheld the incarnation and are now ready to reveal the sent One again to all who seek HIm in Israel.
OBJECTIVE: Today, we're preparing these sites to tell the much more complete story of Jesus of Nazareth to over 500,000 visitors annually.
NEED: Since the Arab invasion of 614CE, these sacred sites have been largely hidden, forgotten and unavailable to visitors. Yet, there is no doubt these sites are clear evidence of the first miracles, sermons, and communities of the Christian faith. This is the geographic Beit Yeshua (The House of Jesus). Each is waiting to be felt and experienced.
Today, it is critical that these sites are restored, protected and prepared to receive over 2 million Christian pilgrims and Israeli tourists each year.
OPPORTUNITY: We work directly to support the Israel Nature & Heritage Foundation and The Israel Nature & Park Authority on the restoration of these sies.
For the first time in 1,400 years, Christians are invited to participate in sustaining these sites which include: Capernaum, Korazim, Beit Saida, Caesarea Philippi, Kursi, Zippori, Sussita, Jerusalem’s Pool of Siloam, Jesus’s Baptism site, Jesus’ Resurrection Site next to Mensa Christi, Caesarea Maritima and several others.
The first site is Capernaum with its ancient harbor, significant archeological evidence, location of 15 miracles and has some existing pilgrim infrastructure already in place.
The second site will be Caesarea Maritima’s prison cell of Paul and the Roman Centurion Cornelius’ general quarters.
VISION: For the first time in 14 centuries, Christians will have direct access to Gospel Sites where the Narrative of Jesus (Yeshua) is carefully represented.
Visitors will be able to pray, worship, fellowship and hear the calling of Yeshua of Nazareth themselves. Carefully designed access and comfortable facilities will also enrich the experience of each visitor.
